The Grand Riverside Hotel in Phitsanulok is a fairly large hotel in a beautiful green garden along the Nan River.
At the driveway from the street you will pass a Café Amazon where it is always fairly busy and past the restaurant Ton Tan Thai Kitchen.
The welcome at the reception is a bit cool, we are helped well and quickly, but otherwise we have to see ourselves that we get our luggage (that is not so much) to the room.

The room is neat, in shades of gray, which makes the room look light. There is a view of the Nan River, but that is not impressive. To get in you need a keycard.
The room is spacious, 32 m². There are large windows with a view over the river, the windows can open. At the window is a chair with a table and a twilight lamp.
The bed is spacious and not too hard, we wake up without back pain.
On the other side of the room is a dressing table annex buro with a chair. It is striking that the upholstery of both seats and the head of the bed is of the same fabric. Next to the dressing table is a cupboard with a fridge, glasses and cups. Unfortunately, a bottle opener is missing.
There is also cupboard space for the luggage and a rack for hanging clothes. There are two bathrobes and there are two pairs of slippers. There is also a Fohn.
The operation of the lamps can be controlled almost entirely with switches next to the bed.

The bathroom is small but sufficient. There is a glass wall between the room and the bathroom, which can be closed with slats.
There is limited space at the sink to put toilet items. There is soap, shampoo, shower gel, cotton swabs.
The shower, in a glass cabin can be adjusted in height. There is enough hot water and it is quickly available.
The toilet is neat, with sprayer and toilet paper.
There are four good towels every day.

Furthermore, the hotel offers more than enough parking space and free, unsecured WiFi.
The breakfast in the shape of a buffet is outside on the terrace overlooking the garden. There is a choice of Western and especially Thai dishes. The coffee tastes good.
